At Thorpe, the former Cemex headquarters has been converted to later living. Phase 1 brings 57 retirement apartments into a 27-acre setting, with Grade II and Grade II* buildings, a swimming pool, gym, restaurant and shared residents’ spaces.
Operational since January 2026, the development brings heritage reuse and the day-to-day experience of residents into the same project.

Proposed-scheme visualisationThe proposed Beatties scheme combines 306 apartments and 22 commercial units in Wolverhampton. Heritage constraints, shared structures and phased delivery shape the approach to giving the former department store a renewed purpose.
The project is at viability review and pre-construction stage. Its planned rental strategy considers the building’s future operation alongside its redevelopment.
Explore BeattiesWe aim to apply these principles through project assessment, partner selection and delivery decisions, reviewing our approach as schemes evolve.
Specific outcomes depend on each project’s design, approvals and delivery stage.
